A fateful encounter

Julian startles awake, gasping, clutching his heart with one hand and reaching instinctively for his maul with the other. He’s ready to attack, but notices the roll and sees no one but Lilith. Glaring, he pushes his hair out of his eyes and lies back down. “I hate you,” he grumbles, rubbing his eyes.

*Rolls her eyes and jumps down next to him.* Tsk tsk, that's not very nice. After all - we now have means to go after what you want. I'm just getting us up and ready for it.

Frowning, Julian eyes Lilith with his head cocked. “What I...? Av, what are you talking about?” He might have added that it was too early for her game-playing, but something in her tone made him think she wasn’t playing games.
