*While walking down a winding forest path, Lilith let's out a heavy sigh*
Jules, remind me why we are out here again?

“Why? You have a pressing appointment somewhere else?” Julian replies with a teasing grin.

*Decides, for the hell of it, to do a cartwheel. She lands it gracefully and keeps walking*
It's just borrrring. I haven't been able to shoot anything for days.

“If by ‘anything’ you mean people,” Julian says. He pauses for a moment to dig a rock out of his boot. “There have been plenty of squirrels.” As if to prove his point, a squirrel scurries across the path in front of them. Julian gestures at it. “See?”

*Gasps in horror* I would never! What has that poor squirrel ever done to you!?
*Her gaze suddenly peers to the forest where the squirrel scurried from. In a flash she draws her gun and shoots a round into the bushes.*

Julian jumps at the gunshot and nearly tips over. The last thing he would have expected would be for Lilith to actually shoot an animal. Which means she probably didn’t. The instant he regains his footing, he flips around and stands at her side, one hand hovering over the grip on his mace. “What is it?” he asks, voice soft.

A baddy

No food for snakey. But here! *Throws the snake at Jules*

The snake’s corpse hits Julian in the face before he can catch it, but he does manage to keep from dropping it. He gives Lilith a flat look, holding a dead snake in his hands. “And how many reptiles have you thrown at my face now? Nineteen?”

*Laughs maniacally.* Oh don't be so bent. Beats rations for a 3rd day in a row. *She walks up to Julian and gets right into his face. Her eyes lock with him. She brings a hand up to touch his check, gently.*
Don't move.
*She brings her lips close to him while still looking into his eyes. In an instant a spark lights her face and she licks his cheek, slowly. She then bounces back laughing at his stunned expression.*

Julian blinks at her, and the instant he recovers, his expression settles into one of long-suffering irritation. He tosses the snake into her face and walks away. “I’m sure my ‘haven’t bathed in a week flavor’ was to your liking.”

Julian stops dead and turns around. He just stares at Lilith for a moment, his face a mask of vague confusion and horror. Without speaking, he makes a gesture with his hands that says, “Why?”

Pffft *Marches up to him and gives him a determined sideways look.* Well did YOU want the snake blood on your cheek? Hmm? Hmmmmm??? *She jerks her head pointedly with each question.*

“Well—no,” Julian replies, gesturing with his hands, clearly displeased with the fact that Lilith was quote unquote “right”. As if by reflex, he wipes his cheek, then turns around and keeps walking.

After only a moment, Julian’s irritation fades. Most of his strong emotions are short-lived. He’s never been certain whether that’s “normal”, or even what “normal” is. He glances at Lilith and smiles. “Good thinking,” he says. “About dinner, I mean.”

“We spend most of our time traveling, Av,” he replies. “I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but people don’t exactly like us being around.” He chuckles, but the sound is a little somber. “We’re just...traveling. Looking for opportunity.” He shrugs.

Julian looks up and notices a man in cleric’s robes traveling along the road visible ahead of them through the trees. “Huh.” He exchanges glances with Lilith. “Wanna see what that’s about?”

Julian gives her a flat look. “You don’t have to be rude about it.” He increases his pace until he emerges from the trees, then calls to the cleric. “Hail, traveler!”

The man jumps and whirls around, clutching his hand to his heart. He laughs in self-deprecation when he sees Julian and recognizes his clothing. “You startled me,” he says. “Where did you come from?”

“The woods,” Julian replies, gesturing over his shoulder. “Right, Lilith?”

*Her appearance has changed. She now has brown hair pulled into a braid, her face is soft and lady-like and she is far more busty than normal.*

Right. Just been wandering about trying to find a place to rest.

The other priest frowns, glancing between them both, clearly struck with pity. “You poor things,” he says. “I’m headed to the White Boar Inn. It is perhaps only a half day’s travel up the road. I insist that you join me.”

*Contains a sigh and looks sideways at Julian. He seems to be open to the idea, so she just shrugs. She wishes Bav would join...being stuck around a cultist and her brother was going to be so boring.*
