Eden comes down from his room to find Thyra with another—potentially ill-begotten—snack. “How much did that one cost you?” he asks, already pretty certain he knows the answer.

Eden raises his eyebrows in surprise. “Yeah, not bad, I guess. Given your track record.”

*her brow furrows slightly* What is that supposed to mean, bey?

Eden starts. “Nothing—just...you have a lot of money, and people know that you have money, and that you’re not familiar with prices, and...” He trails off, scratching the back of his head, feeling like he may have dug himself into a hole.

*Takes another bite... considering this...* Is money that hard to come by that it matters?

Eden laughs out loud. “Thyra—people kill for money.”

*Scowls* Why the hell...that's idiotic. *Takes another bite of cake and looks at Eden suspiciously* Would you kill for money?

Startled, Eden laughs. “What—no! Thyra! No. No... NO. I would never—I realize the more I talk the more suspicious I sound. I have never and would never kill for money.” He puts his hand over his heart to really sell it.

*Cocks and eyebrow, still suspicious. She stars at Eden for several long moments, unblinking. She then plops another piece of cake in her mouth. Her eyes close and a small moan escapes her.*
